DIY Footprints: Baby Craft Project.

What’s DIY? Do it yourself – as in crafts. I’m not crafty… but I didn’t have a lot of money or time to buy Christmas presents, so I came up with the genius idea of framed baby footprints for the grandparents.  As usual, the craft project envisioned in my head wasn’t exactly the final product… but it still turned out to be very cute.

As I was buying the finger paint, I realized that my never-can-sit-still baby boy was probably not going to cooperate or like this project, but I bought it and went on my merry way.

This is a TWO PERSON project.  One person to hold the baby:

One person to dip baby’s foot in fingerpaint and stamp foot on the paper. Except you also have dab some of the paint off while baby boy is kicking legs or it will be too goopy and not a cute footprint. The paint will not just be on the baby’s foot at this point:

But, in the end, after about 30 attempts, you will have 3 framable footprints:

They are single footprints… one of each foot was NOT going to happen!!!
