Hi, I’m Breaker, a pampered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I used to be the baby, and now I’m the dog. I’m used to the finer things in life: Orvis bedding, organic dog food, a variety of toys to chew. Clearly, I’m also very talented with computers and typing. I really liked my peaceful life of lounging undisturbed on couches all day and getting luxurious back scratches at night. Things started to change a few months ago when the Treat Givers brought home a tiny human. Slowly, things started to get wacky.
I can’t figure out what it’s name is – it’s either Sweetie, Cutest Baby in the World, Sugar, Doodlebug, or Thomas. All names are used equally. So I just call him Baby. I like to lick Baby’s face. I do not like Baby to grab my ears – so I have mastered the drive-by licking of his face. He can’t move from his position, so I can lick him without him grabbing me. Today that changed. He can move in the forward direction – towards me, and my tail. I’m not making this up:
Are you kidding me? He can GO places. He looked me straight in the eye and said, “I’m going to grab your tail, Breaker, and then I’m going to get your ear.”
