The story of the Griddler Jr.

Last year, Piggly Wiggly (or as frequent shoppers refer to it, “The Pig”) ran a promotion that totally worked on me: for every $10 you spent, you got a sticker to put in your book to earn Cuisinart prizes. I shopped enough to earn a Griddler Jr, a kitchen appliance that I wanted for two reasons: because it has a cool name and to make paninis.

When I got it, I used it twice, and put it away, just as my husband predicted. Then I got it out again last week and made the perfect grilled cheese for Thomas and now I’m hooked. It has great features… The most important being it has easy-to-remove plates that go in the dishwasher. And the handle allows you to really press down to make a good panini.

This week, we are going to try French dip paninis with provolone and roast beef. Yum. If it’s delish, I will post the recipe!
