I’m obsessed with Weber’s On the Grill app. It has lots of recipes – but most importantly, gives you exact instructions on how to grill anything – and has a timer. Weber has always offered help via phone and their website – but this makes grilling so easy. I’d never grilled corn before – and the app told me exactly how to do it. I followed the Louisiana Grilled Corn recipe but just used butter, salt & pepper instead of the spices.
Tonight, we grilled.
This is the first time in 2012 that we have brought out the grill – and now I want to grill every night!
I like the organic chicken from Costco- it’s not horribly expensive, and it comes in convenient 2-packs so you can freeze what is not used.
With a grill, I don’t feel like you need much of a recipe- just Lawry’s Seasoned Salt, Pepper, & Olive Oil. This is my kind of cooking.
According to the app, these were the times I used – and it worked perfectly:
- 25 – 35 minutes for the corn on medium direct heat
- 30 minutes for the chicken on direct heat (not exactly what the app told me… but I’d already laid out the corn and had to have the chicken on direct heat…)
- 6 minutes on direct medium heat for the asparagus. Note: I put the asparagus in a basket at first. That takes a lot longer. When I took off the corn and chicken, I put the asparagus directly on the grill for about 6 minutes on medium heat and it was delicious.
and look how lovely in the dish:
Delicious! and very simple. What are your favorite things to grill??
