I have been obsessing over Kelly Moore bags ever since I discovered them.  I even wrote about them here and here and here the past year.

And finally, on Christmas morning, I was given the gift of the ultimate mom bag, the Kelly Moore Libby Bag in Sapphire (I know, I know, I’m totally spoiled.). It’s gorgeous.  I took a photo so you can see all of the things that I lug around.

I wanted a bag that would safely hold my DSLR camera along with all of the other diaper bag necessities I need for weekend trips to the playground, errands, out to eat at restaurants, and to birthday parties.  I don’t always need my camera with me for every single occasion, but honestly, I take it with me more than I probably should – but I love to take photos, and I love to use my DSLR camera.  I was tossing it into my regular diaper bag, which didn’t have much padded protection.  This bag offers both organization and protection for my camera, accessories, and diaper changing essentials.

I also wanted a bag that I could use for work, without having to take it all out and transfer it every time I switch from work Mom to playground Mom.  I’m able to make a few switches and transition from work to playground by just taking out diapers and a few toys. I carry my camera with me to work, and it has space for a laptop and iPad. I just have an iPad so it’s great to carry with me to meetings and to the office.  It’s a big bag, but it’s very stylish and works well for work.

Here’s why I love Libby:

• The dividers keep it all organized. I no longer have to dump out the contents to find what I’m looking for.  It’s right there, in it’s little compartment.  Those dividers can be moved around – they have velcro on them.
• It fits everything: wallet, makeup pouch, wipes, extra diapers, toys, DSLR camera, sippy cup, Lilly Pulitzer Coffee Mug (duh! it’s the preppiest!), Flip camera, phone, business cards, Kindle, iPad, snacks and there is still room for more.
• It is a VERY good looking bag!!
• The interior is very simple to clean – it’s a vinyl fabric so you can just wipe it with one of the baby wipes in your bag should you spill a snack or coffee in it.

Libby and I go everywhere together.  She’s with me on the playground, out shopping, at work, to my business meetings, at the grocery store, and is very handy in restaurants.  It’s supposed to be a camera bag – but it also holds a laptop, and would make a stylish business briefcase, an excellent travel bag, and obviously – a great diaper/mom bag.
