Have you been to Minted? Like the chic name suggests, Minted.com offers gorgeous print products including cards, journals, and calendars with sophisticated, clean and modern designs. I have been a photo-gift-making-machine-woman the past few weeks trying to get a special gift for family. The biggest challenge was organizing the thousands of photos I’ve taken over the past year (because it takes about 25 shots of a moving toddler to get one that is great!). I use Aperture to organize photos but this will work in iPhoto as well: I used keywords to organize each project (book for grandparent, calendar for friend, etc.) and then created a “smart album” so they all magically appeared in one place.
To create this calendar, I saved a folder on my desktop.
I loved all of the calendar designs and chose this one:
I love the rounded edges and simple design. The best part about making this calendar? There aren’t a million different options: you add the photos and go on your merry way. There aren’t 65 backgrounds or embellishments to muddle the process – it’s all very clean and simple. You do have the ability to add dates, etc. to the actual calendar but I prefer to handwrite those special dates in a calendar so I just added photos.
I cannot wait to receive it! If the quality of the calendar is anything like the quality of Minteds’s cards, I will not be disappointed.
