I'd like to introduce you to my new weekend companion, the Poppins.
The Poppins bag may not feed you a spoon full of sugar, but you can certainly fit a spoon full of sugar (or, my go-to bribe, gummy bears) into one of its many convenient compartments.
This changing bag from PinkLining.com is the perfect tote to take on errands, outings, playdates, playgrounds, dinner on the town, and anywhere else you can go where you need to carry the essentials for keeping your child clean, entertained, happy, and well fed.
I'm in love with the slim design – there are pockets for the essentials, it fits a LOT, yet it's not too bulky. Everything is organized and easy to find. The zip pocket in the front is for mom: I stuck my point and shoot camera, iPhone, and wallet – and love the mirror that is attached with a clip. I think that must be for the mom who pauses to put on lipstick. Maybe I will be one of Those Moms now that I have a handy mirror!
I love the colors and the design – but my favorite part is the preppy striped strap! What you can't really see from the photo is the fabric: it is easy to clean. It has a coating, so no worries about spills or fraying. Some diaper bags just look frazzled after a few trips to the park, and this one will withstand weekends of playground hopping. The bag comes with a diaper changing pad (also very easy to wipe clean) and a zipper bag to carry wipes or other essentials like snacks.
Even though we will soon say bye bye to diapers, this bag will still be the perfect bag for the weekends because it is a tote with lots of pockets. Just because we're giving up diapers doesn't mean sippy cups, snacks, toys, wipes, or an extra pair of socks won't be essential to tote around.
If you're looking for a diaper bag for your newborn, or transitioning out of the diaper stage like me – this is a fantastic diaper bag/ tote to carry all of the essentials. Stay tuned: I'm going to feature a few more posts about diaper bag essentials this week! Up next – what to put in your diaper bag when you're going out to dinner!
Disclaimer: I was thrilled when Pink Lining sent me a bag to review. I was given the bag as a gift but all opinions are my own. I highly recommend this bag. Also, it's called the Poppins. So cute!
