/ Huntington Beach State Park is breathtakingly beautiful, and my mom & Thomas had fun exploring the crabs, birds, and alligator in the beautiful fall weather
/ Clearly, state parks are my current jam. My mom and I spent the morning with Thomas at Myrtle Beach State Park – and I love this playground surrounded by woods (and the lighting is so pretty!)
/ The Calling Pinot Noir. I plan to do a wine review … sometime… when I have the time… if I ever have the time… better not wait on that, go ahead and buy a bottle – it’s fab! Also: I got a cheap flash and I really love it.
/ Breaker snoozing on the Knight costume. Thomas has worn his Knight costume everyday since he got it for Halloween. Adorable.
/ Like little old ladies, my friends gathered for Bingo at the Dunes Club. Fun times!
/ Daylight savings time has altered his normal sleep schedule… so he’s gotten up a little early a few mornings. But that means breakfast & snuggles on the couch! This morning, he tried on my glasses and wanted me to take a picture. (this may be the first time he’s actually ever requested his photo to be taken!)
/ Yes, we have a gorgeous dog. That’s Breaker, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He’s regal & he knows it.
/ Quail & Eggs at Longbeards. I actually did an entire review post about Longbeard’s this week. Delish.
/ Favorite photo of the week: At lunch on Saturday, we discovered that Longbeard’s serves brunch on Sunday. We got a group together and dined on delicious food while our kids sat like little angels coloring with crayons (?! never happens!) and playing on iPhones. I love this picture because they are all so happy and looking at each other. I absolutely love this age – and love to see them interact. Also, Thomas has worn that blue shirt with a mustache on it for at least 5 days straight. He currently will only wear “regular shirts” that are “blue” – and this one fits the criteria.
/ Beef stew. I made it in the crock pot on Sunday (recipe link here) and I think it tasted even better tonight… I forgot to add the peas, so I cooked them and added them to the reheated leftovers – perfect for a focus point in my photo! I did edit this one a little. Not sure if I love the coloring. Still playing around and learning Lightroom.
Thoughts on my Project 365 —
I am doing this project to improve my photography but also find a photograph everyday that documents something going on in our lives at that moment – like Breaker snuggling with the Knight costume. Assuming Thomas will one day stop wanting to wear the Knight costume every single day and possibly wear something other than a blue t-shirt, I think it will be fun to go back and see the photos, read the captions, and remember life at 3.5. So far, I’m very happy that I decided to start this project!!!
