Let me start by saying: photography is frustrating, expensive, and fun. A few days ago, I attempted my first interior photo shoot, and while these photos are totally boring (I know they are! They are resort rooms!) they are also essential to marketing a resort (I work for a resort management company) and as the marketing person who loves photography, decided that I would make it my mission to tackle interior photography. I will write a post on that another day. For now: the Kelly Moore Posey bag, a small & stylish DSLR bag that has finally met my demands for an everyday camera bag designed as a cute handbag. Because I do not like to leave my camera at home like normal people.
For the past few years, I carried my DSLR with me to work nearly everyday in the Kelly Moore Libby bag, but it is a humongous bag that will carry it all: laptop, iPad, lenses, camera, snacks, wallet, etc.
Up above – the shot with the three lenses is a little misleading because you could certainly fit three lenses in the bag – but I don’t think it would zip. The bag is thin – but that is what I wanted – a thin, carry around bag that can protect my camera and carry around some other items, like a wallet and my phone. You can fit several things in the bag but there is no guarantee it will zip. For example – I was able to carry my 18-135 on my camera + a flash in the bag – and I didn’t zip the top. But if I took the flash out and added my wallet, I could zip it shut if I wanted to. (I carry my wallet even though this one has a wallet on the side… I still carry mine.)
This has my camera with the 40mm pancake lens and the 18-135 lens next to it. There’s room to put something on top of the camera if I wanted to.
There is a back open pocket that fits my iPad mini perfectly, and there is a zipper pocket on the front for items like lipgloss, pens, etc. There is another open pocket where I store my phone, and the front zips down for credit cards and SD cards.
This is a GREAT travel bag – I plan to take it to Disney – and a great weekend bag. It fits and protects your camera, and has enough pockets and room to store the essentials. I’m very pleased with it – plus, it’s stylish!
I usually wear the strap cross-body style, but using it at as a clutch is cute, too.
If you’re looking for a small bag to carry your DSLR with you for trips and on the weekend, the Kelly Moore Posey bag is for you. (Available on Amazon)
