Do you ever find yourself playing with your child’s toys?
I love to sit with Thomas in his playroom and play with his building toys – blocks, Legos, these crazy magnetic geometric things called magformers- and most recently, Reptangles.
Reptangles are geometric turtles that snap together and you can create shapes.
They are very engaging, and it’s fun to try to get them to snap together and build things. Thomas loves them and likes to build long turtle trains.
The sweetest question in the world to me right now is “play with me, mommy?” Because YES! I want to play with you, Thomas! So I sit down on the floor and play with the Reptangles or blocks – but I’m not just playing along with Thomas – I’m actually playing. And while I’m focused trying to get these turtle things to snap together to try to make a Truncated Octohedron, Thomas has moved on to the next toy before I can finish my turtle project.
I say this at every stage, but this is such a FUN age!!
