Let’s make one thing very clear: this is not a how to post, because I have to read how to posts on Lightroom. I am most definitely not an expert.
I’m new to editing. I opposed it for a long time because I felt like I should be a straight out of the camera kind of gal, but that was prior to discovering Lightroom. Now I love it. I still don’t know how to do much in it but I have downloaded a bunch of presets that I like, so I thought I’d share. I like a very natural looking photograph but sometimes, it’s fun to give photos a different look.
Like these I took – the lighting was dark and overcast, and all around was just gloomy, so adding the “blueberry” preset made the color pop in these photos, and now they are gloomy in a cool way. I’m sharing some before and afters, which I always enjoy viewing.
I also use the clean & creative workflow preset pack from Pretty Lightroom Presets a LOT when I just want a good, natural cleaned up shot. It has some other “fun” presets but I usually use the standard.
I like Nicolesy’s Creative Control pack – that has a LOT of different options, and I use that one when I am looking for some enhancing. It also has some “fun” presets for different looks. I also like Stylized Food and Nostalgia Portrait.
What kind of editing do you do? Do you like a natural look or a stylized, edited look?
