When I was pregnant, I signed up for a free trial for The Honest Company’s diaper & wipes bundle, skipping over the fine print and charging straight to the “confirm” screen. Please note: signing up for the trial automatically signs you up for the bundle. IN MY OPINION, the $5.95 for the free trial is NOT worth it. It would be better to grab a pack of the diapers at Target to try them out instead.
However, even though I signed up for it by mistake, the diaper stars aligned and my first shipment came a few days after my daughter was born, and it was perfect timing.
So, here’s my honest review of Honest Company diapers.
When I opened the box, I thought there was no possible way we would go through that many diapers (320) in four weeks. HA.
The Honest Company had it exactly right. I changed more than 300 diapers in the first four weeks. Here’s my assessment of the diapers and the bundle.
What I love about the Honest Company Diaper Bundles
- Automatic Deliveries: the correct quantity, when we need it, without having to think about it.
- Pretty Diaper Designs: the diapers are so adorable, and the designs make me happy every time I change her diaper. (All 300 times.) You can view all the current designs here.
- All White Diapers: When she wears a pretty dress, I don’t want a design peaking through. The all white diapers are perfect.
- They work. My biggest fear is that these would be more all natural diapers that don’t absorb a thing, but actually, so far they have done their job, which is actually the most important factor with a diaper.
So, as you can see, it’s mostly the design, convenience and the effectiveness that I like. They are natural and healthier but I don’t really pay attention to that… however, if you are really into the environment (good for you! It stresses me out to read about all of the scary things in the environment that could affect my baby!) then these diapers will be especially appealing to you. They diapers are “made with naturally derived, plant-based & sustainable materials* — are extra soft, hypoallergenic, free of chlorine processing and additives (like fragrances, lotions, and latex).”
They are more expensive, of course. They are premium diapers, so this should come as no surprise. Don’t do the math and figure out how much you’ll spend on diapers, and the savings you will have if you choose less premium diapers, like my husband quickly calculated for me to prove his point.
Also, the wipes they send are not nearly enough, so you’ll need to buy more.
