I’m going to start a weekly email with all of the best deals & finds for the week. Why? I don’t want to post about sales but I have access to all of these cool retailers and exclusive deals.
As a blogger, I’ve joined approximately six billion affiliate programs.
Explanation time – Affiliate programs, for you non-blogger readers, allow bloggers to earn commission when readers make a purchase after clicking on a link on the website. (THANK YOU if you have!!) There are shady ways of doing this and legit ways. You’ll notice a lot of disclaimers on this website which identify affiliate links because I do NOT want to cross the FCC, which regulates how brands work with blogs. I’m a rule follower.
However, I think ads ruin the aesthetic of a website so I don’t want to throw them up on my sidebar. ALSO pop-up ads and ads in the middle of blog posts also make a website BLECH. (Southern Living, JUST STOP. When I want to read the Top 100 Southern Baby Names, I do not want to be bombarded with ads that require me to watch something for 3 seconds before finding an incognito X to get out of the window. Rant parenthesis over.)
My point. Since I’m a blogger, I have access to incredibly cool deals and sales and retailers, and I don’t want to be a deals site with a bunch of blog posts about the latest sale. That’s boring to write, boring to read.
SO. I’m sending out a weekly email with all of the best deals and sales instead, plus a recap of some of the posts or pictures from my blog for the week.
Sounds like something amazing? You’ll have to wait until Thursday…
