Our good taste in wine comes by professionally: my husband sells it, and actually knows what he’s talking about when he describes a wine and can tell you about the region, terroir, and uses phrases like “on the nose” without sounding like a total goober.
Me? I just enjoy the fine wines he recommends and tag along on fabulous trips to California.
Here’s a little guide to all of the wine blog posts – and wine recommendations!
Drink Sparkling, Darling
I only drink champagne on two occasions: when I am in love and when I am not.
Well said, Coco. And you shouldn’t wait to sip sparkling for a special celebration, either. My go-to favorite sparkling to have in the fridge is Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut. Browse the sparkling section if you’re curious how many bubbles are in a bottle, how to pop a champagne cork with panache for the ultimate party trick, our visit to the J Vineyards Bubble Room in Sonoma, and the difference between champagne & sparkling.

You Have to Watch Somm
Somm is a documentary which follows candidates studying for the Master Sommelier exam, the top designation any wine professional can achieve. There are less than 200 people which hold this title world-wide. The documentary is intense and completely absorbing. Grab a bottle (or two) and prepare to be entertained. Buy or download from Amazon or iTunes.
